Main tasks of the association

The association includes both legal and natural persons - children and adults, their family members, doctors and everyone who cares about public health and healthcare work in Latvia. Currently the association enlists about six hundred members.

The association has regional branches in Cesis, Jelgava, Jekabpils, Liepaja, Liepa parish (Cesis district) and Riga.

Associations` branches organize lectures of doctors and other specialists, as well as gymnastics, Nordic walking, swimming and handicrafts interest groups. There are ensembles established in Cesis and Liepaja. In Cesis a ladies` dance group performs. Annual celebrations and other festivals are held, as well as tours around Latvia and neighbouring countries, excursions for "slow walkers" and other activities are organized. Twice a year we meet in broader seminars in Riga - during Spring General Meeting in May and at World Arthritis Day Conference in October.
